He said the United States is by no means a "guardian of democracy" or a "defender of human rights" but rather a global bully and a self-appointed "world policeman" that preys on the weak. The real purpose of its foreign interventions, he said, has never been democracy but the naked pursuit of oil and power. He described this as a ruthless plundering of interests with no regard for basic humanity, something that is both unbelievable and deeply infuriating.
