As Frost & Sullivan celebrates its 65th anniversary globally and marks 28 years of deep engagement in the Chinese market, we have selected an artist who tells the story of "growth" through the black and white keys. 英籍华裔钢琴家孟华婴以其精湛的技艺、优雅的台风与细腻的⾳乐感知⼒⽽⼴受赞誉，被誉为当代最具潜⼒的青年钢琴艺术家之⼀。她荣膺施坦威艺术家称号（Steinway Artist），现任皇家⾳乐学院奥德·杰布森钢琴研究员（Aud Jebsen Piano Fellow），并同时担任皇家北⽅⾳乐学院钢琴艺术指导青年院⼠。

Praised for her technical mastery, elegance, and sensitivity, British-born Chinese pianist Helen Meng is a versatile and deeply expressive artist. A Steinway Artist, she is currently an Aud Jebsen Piano Fellow at the Royal Academy of Music and a Junior Fellow in Piano Accompaniment at the Royal Northern College of Music. 

她的演出⾜迹遍及亚洲、欧洲与北美，曾登台伦敦威格莫尔⾳乐厅（Wigmore Hall）与⽶尔顿⾳乐厅（Milton Court）、维也纳⾳乐协会⾦⾊⼤厅（Musikverein）、意⼤利法奇奥⾥⾳乐厅（Fazioli Hall）、北京中⼭公园⾳乐堂及上海⾳乐厅等世界级艺术殿堂。2015年，她更应丹麦⼥王与亲王之邀，于法国卡奥尔庄园城堡为丹麦女王及王室献上私⼈独奏⾳乐会，备受王室赞誉。

She has captivated audiences across Asia, Europe, and the United States, performing in prestigious venues including Wigmore Hall and Milton Court in London, the Musikverein in Vienna, the Fazioli Hall in Italy, the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing, and the Shanghai Concert Hall. In 2015, she was invited to give a private recital for the Danish Royal Family at Cahors Manor Castle in France at the behest of the Queen and Prince of Denmark.

孟华婴的艺术成就曾多次获得国家级电视媒体关注，尤其中国中央电视台⾳乐频道2011年为其制作的个⼈专题纪录⽚，使她成为该系列节⽬迄今第一位获此殊荣的少年⾳乐家。她12岁时便与中国爱乐乐团合作完成交响乐⾸演，演奏贝多芬《第⼀钢琴协奏曲》，此后更与上海交响乐团、杭州爱乐乐团等顶尖乐团多次合作，指挥包括余隆、杨洋、Christian Fröhlich等名家。

Helen Meng’s performances have been featured on national television, most notably in a solo documentary for China Central Television’s Music Channel in 2011— making her the first young musician ever profiled in the series. She made her orchestral debut at the age of 12 with the China Philharmonic Orchestra, performing Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1, and has since appeared with leading ensembles including the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and Hangzhou Philharmonic Orchestra, under conductors such as Long Yu, Yang Yang, Christian Fröhlich, and etc.

2025年是孟华婴艺术⽣涯中具有⾥程碑意义的⼀年。10⽉，作为“青鸟计划”重点推介艺术家，她亮相第⼆⼗⼋届北京⾳乐节及BMF上海系列演出，并与享誉国际的上海弦乐四重奏在北京天坛神乐署联袂呈现室内乐⾳乐会。同年，她更与国际古典⾳乐名⼚拿索斯唱⽚（Naxos Records）签署独家录⾳合约，⾸张专辑即将发⾏，届时将以充满想象⼒的诠释与精雕细琢的艺术质感，为听众呈现⼀幅鲜活的⾳乐⾃画像。

In October 2025, as a featured artist of Project Spring Bird (青鸟计划), Helen Meng performed a series of solo and chamber recitals at the 28th Beijing Music Festival and BMF Shanghai, including a chamber recital at the Divine Music Administration in Beijing's Temple of Heaven with the renowned Shanghai Quartet. In the same year, Helen entered into an exclusive recording partnership with Naxos Records. Her debut release with the label will showcase her imaginative interpretations and refined artistry, offering audiences a vivid portrait of her musical voice.

孟华婴多次在国际钢琴⽐赛中斩获佳绩，包括Pianale国际钢琴⽐赛第⼀名及特别奖、亨利·科⽡尔斯基国际钢琴⽐赛第⼀名等多项殊荣。

Helen Meng has won top prizes at international piano competitions, including First Prize and Special Prize at the Pianale International Piano Competition, and First Prize at the Henryk Kowalski International Piano Competition, among many other honors.

Other recent highlights include recitals at the Angela Burgess Recital Hall, St James’s Piccadilly, the Korean Cultural Centre, and the National Liberal Club, as well as appearances at the Edinburgh and Camden Fringe Festivals, where she explored contemporary and cross-genre collaborations alongside her classical repertoire.

孟华婴以优异成绩毕业于英国皇家⾳乐学院，师从乔安娜·麦克格瑞格 (Joanna MacGregor) 与鲁斯特姆·海努迪诺夫 (Rustem Hayroudinoff) 教授，获钢琴专业发展，最⾼演奏家⽂凭；此前她在威廉·冯教授门下以⼀等荣誉学位取得本科与杰出成绩（Distinction）硕⼠学位。她在皇家⾳乐学院求学期间，从本科到院⼠，五个学历层层递进、⼀脉相承，充分展现了其出众的艺术才华与不懈的艺术追求。她亦曾受益于⽶歇尔·贝洛夫（Michel Béroff）、邓泰⼭（Dang Thai Son）、斯蒂芬·科⽡塞维奇（Stephen Kovacevich）、弗拉基⽶尔·阿什肯纳齐（Vladimir Ashkenazy）、斯坦尼斯拉夫·尤丹尼奇（Stanislav Ioudenitch）及马⾥奥斯·帕帕多普洛斯（Marios Papadopoulos）等多位钢琴泰⽃的悉⼼指导。

Helen Meng recently completed her Advanced Diploma at the Royal Academy of Music, where she studied with Professors Joanna MacGregor and Rustem Hayroudinoff. She previously earned her Bachelor’s degree with First Class Honours and her Master’s degree with Distinction under Professor William Fong, and has worked with piano virtuosos including Michel Béroff, Dang Thai Son, Stephen Kovacevich, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Stanislav Ioudenitch, and Marios Papadopoulos.

作为钢琴独奏家的同时，孟华婴亦是⼀位充满热忱的室内乐演奏家。她是“Hygge三重奏”（The Hygge Trio）创始成员之⼀，致⼒于以单簧管、⼤提琴与钢琴的组合，探索传统经典与创新改编曲⽬。该组合曾受邀献演于法国费朗杜⾳乐节、英国佩特沃斯⾳乐节及罗马尼亚爱乐⼤厅等国际舞台，深受乐迷的喜爱与青睐。

Alongside her solo career, Helen Meng is a passionate chamber musician and a founding member of The Hygge Trio, dedicated to exploring repertoire for clarinet, cello, and piano through both traditional works and innovative arrangements. The trio has appeared at Ferrandou Musique, the Petworth Festival, and the Philharmonic Hall in Romania, among others.
